Stephanie In the Film Community
Stephanie is not only a professional actor but she is also a very active member of the Vancouver film community!
She has worked independently as a Casting Director for a number of projects ranging from a commercial for Disney's Descendants 3, and Bell Media, a TVB Network television show from Hong Kong called “Another Era”, "John William Dexter's Bailamos!" for record label Reliant Music along with short films ranging in VR such as "Wetigo" to the MPIA winning short film “Good Girls Don’t”. She got her start working as a casting associate for Tiffany Mak Casting, and has run camera and read with actors for thousands of auditions over the last few years. Seeing what is impactful and the professional caliber that is expected in the room, Stephanie is able to share that knowledge with her students.
Stephanie recently worked with National Geographic Explorer Josh Thome as the impact producer on "Hear the Call", a documentary on the impact of Salmon Farms on local Broughton Archipelago. She coordinated with the David Suzuki Foundation, The Fairmont Empress and others to coordinate a showing at Camosun College which made the top of CTV News.
Stephanie was the previous Co-Producer and Production Coordinator of BC’s largest film event, Crazy8s. A filmmaking competition that oversees the production of six films that are shot and edited in an eight-day format and presented to an audience of over 1,750 people. She works closely with filmmakers, directors, casting directors and hundreds of community sponsors of the event.
